Jumping Clay

As part of Science Week Jumping Clay came to school.
Here we are warming up the clay by stretching it.
We mixed red and white to make pink clay.
We used the pink clay to make a cell. Our bodies are made up of lots and lots of cells.
We rolled and bounced the clay. What fun to see it jump!
The cell was squashed and white and blue clay added to make food and energy. The green part of the cell is the brain.
Check out these cute characters who came to visit.
Some smurfs and minions also showed up on the day.

We added black clay around the edge of our cell to keep everything in.
The clay eventually hardened and we turned our cells into badges.
                                                                What an exciting day!
