Hibernating Hedgehogs

Many animals hibernate during the cold winter months. We made some hibernating hedgehogs.

                   We covered the hedgehogs body with matchsticks for spines and painted it brown.

                           The hedgehog has a soft nose. It curls itself into a ball when in danger.

                                      
                                            The hedgehog sleeps in a warm, cosy bed of leaves.

Our sleepy hedgehogs will wake up again when springtime comes.
